A coalition of opposition parties, working towards winning 2026 Osun governorship election has berated media aides of the state governor, Ademola Adeleke, for scoring low in public communication and engagement.

The group was reacting to a statement by an aide to the governor, where he attacked the Osun State chairman of New Nigeria Peoples Party, Dr. Tosin Odeyemi, who had earlier disclosed plans by some political parties to work together and end Adeleke’s reign by 2026.

The statement read partly, “We received with laughter, a statement purportedly written by one of the hangers in the midst of Governor Adeleke’s handlers where he described a recent statement by coalition of some political parties in Osun as ‘classless’

“The classless signee of the statement, one Oladele Bamiji, is insignificant though, but we wish to tutor him to know that public speaking is not for a child who waits for monthly data money he called salary, like him.

“While we know the Adeleke Government parades the worse media team in history, we expect them to ask from media practitioners how to write. The “Student Union” type of write ups says it all about a government peopled by unlearned or half baked politicians.

“The uninformed ball boy who wrote the piece was asking who Tosin Odeyemi is. He was definitely under the tree or somewhere in country home waiting for data money and opening gates for visitors when Tosin Odeyemi was having robust discussion with Adeleke dynasty.

“He also asked who the collaborators are, maybe he should ask why his Boss was happy to “hijack” the duo of Dr Olu Alabi and Omoba Olagunsoye Oyinlola at a burial ceremony and made the pictures go viral with a purported reconciliation move.

“HOB will know the collaborators after he is sent to his village where he comes from very soon for his lack of decency in dealing with anybody he perceives as enemy to his paymaster.

“We also want to help him by teaching him that the Hallmark of a good writing is simplicity and clarity, so people like those he works for can understand.

“One wonders his thinking when he wrote ‘Aside several strategic developmental initiatives by his excellency since assumption of office just over a year ago’, so, for the past one year, your boss is yet to complete any tangible project? Infact, we are convinced now that Adeleke’s media aides are his worst enemies.

“No wonder Ooni of Ife, HRM Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi stylishly scolded Adeleke during the flag off of flyover bridge in Ile-Ife not to deceive the masses with the flag off but ‘please help us to complete this project. Don’t just come here to cut the ribbon but please complete this overhead bridge you unveil today’

“The above statement by our revered paramount ruler should be of paramount concern to the clueless and inexperienced boys parading themselves as media aides to Adeleke instead of the sleepless nights and headache they are having over our statement.

“As we advise Adeleke to, as a matter of urgency, organise a crash training in Public Speaking for the social media guys he employed as media aides, we wish to reinstate again our determination to unseat him come 2026. It is not a threat but a reality.

“Our restoration agenda will transform the landscape of osun and provide credible leadership better than what the state is witnessing now.”
