Civil Servants in the State of Osun have been described as ‘important and necessary change agents needed towards good governance’, hence the need for them to
participate actively in the Saturday’s governorship election.
The Chairman Local Government Service Commission, Elder Tunde Adedeji stated this during a familiarization visits to Atakunmosa East and West, Oriade, Ilesa East and West, Ede North and South, as well as Osogbo and Olorunda local government areas of the state.
He also visited Ife South, Ife Central, Ife East and North.
Elder Adedeji emphasized the need for the electorate to vote for continuity, saying Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola is fully prepared to execute good programmes for the betterment of the masses.
On his part as the commission’s boss, Adedeji promised that capacity building and different continuous professional development programmes that would assist in broadening and strengthening the silks of the personnel would be the major focus of the Local Government Service Commission, nothing that none of the entitlements of Civil Servants shall elude them.
He also promised to operate an open door administration, whereby every staff can contribute to the progress and success of the commission by writing down their opinions on issues that affect their professional wellbeing.
The Chairman of Local Government Service Commission was accompanied on the visits by the management team of the agency.
