The ex-minister of Interior and former governor of Osun State, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola on Friday, paid a courtesy visit to his predecessor, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola at his Okuku residence.
Aregbesola with his team according to a source arrived with fanfare at the former military administrator of Lagos State house around 5 p.m. and left after 6 p.m.
The source said Aregbesola who spoke in Yoruba, told the Okuku born prince that he came to appreciate him for visiting him during his time in office as a Federal minister.
According to the source, “Aregbesola and his team arrived around 5:00 pm and left after 6:00 pm.
“Aregbesola said he came to greet Oyinlola because when he was in Abuja, some people came to visit him for greeting sake while some did not even come to visit him at all.
“But he (Oyinlola) came to visit him when he was in Abuja and he saw that he came to him with good intentions which is different from some people.
“That is why he came to Okuku to appreciate Oyinlola. He said Oyinlola is his boss in two ways. First, he governs Lagos State when he (Aregbesola) hasn’t been in any position and he also governs Osun State before him.
“He also said Oyinlola is a rare breed because if it were to be another person, he won’t want the rift between them to be settled. It was an open meeting.”
Oyinlola according to the source appreciated Aregbesola for coming to visit him.
Part of Aregbesola’s team included; Najeem Salam, Rasheed Olalekan, and Wale Adedoyin.
