Former Governor of Oyo State Senator Rashidi Ladoja has described the postponement of today’s presidential and National elections as a colosal loss for the country.
Senator Ladoja was speaking today in Ibadan noting that INEC chairman and other principal officers at the headquarters should be sacked for lack of competence which resultantly subjected Nigeria to ridicule among the comity of nations.
The Zenith Labour Party Chieftain noted that the police and army have mobilised just like the electoral officers before the election was postponed barely four hours to the commencement of the elections.
Senator Ladoja wondered why INEC did not envisage the postponement on Thursday and instead continued to assure people that everything was set for the elections and told the world that the materials are deposited at CBN.
He said he would wait and see what President Buhari will do because wheher he wins or he looses, he should sack all of them particularly all of them at INEC headquarters because they are incompetent.

The Osi Olubadan of Ibadanland  said the implication of the postponement is that the whole world is not taking us seriously again.
He worried that schools have closed down asking if the students are still going to stay at home again till next week.
He said it took them four years before they know that the election was going to be today asking how many business men will take you seriously especially that Nigeria wants business men to come from abroad when you cannot even predict and organise simple elections.
According to Ladoja, a lot of people travelled from abroad to come and vote in their country worrying if they are still going to stay in the country for another week.
“You want business men to come from abroad when you cannot even predict and organise simple elections. Business is out prediction. Does it mean we cannot plan anything successfully in Nigeria? This is sad. A bunch of incompetent people are taking the country for a ride”

Ladoja said he had lost hope in INEC when they cannot organise the elections calling on INEC to be reasonanle by cancelling the distributed ballot papers because they would have leaked by now and that would cost billions to do again.
Senator Ladoja described INEC action as “criminal negligence” and charged the President to sack INEC officials at the National headquarters because they have destroyed the credibility of Nigeria and Nigerians in the international community.
“The blame is with the INEC. They should have told us Wednesday or Thursday that we are not ready and now at the last minute that they are not ready. The reasonable thing is to also cancel the distributed ballot papers because they would have leaked by now and that would cost billions to do again. It is sad. Mr President should sack them. they have destroyed the credibility of Nigeria and Nigerians in the international community. This is criminal negligence. Schools have closed down. Now, are they going to say the children should stay at home again till next week. It is sad.”, Ladoja recounted.
