(Press statement)
The Action Democratic Party (ADP) in Osun state has called on electorate especially people of Osun West senatorial District to disregard the rumour being peddled around that the flagbearer of ADP in the last governorship election, who is also the acting vice chairman of the party in the South West, Alhaji Moshood Olalekan Adeoti has gone back to APC.
The ADP in a release said the insinuation wass handiwork of enemies of progress and desperate politicians who do not have the love of the people at heart, but are bent on sparing nothing to patch up their already tarnished image.
According to the release, “a dog does not go back to its vomit,” adding that Alhaji Adeoti remains the symbol of ADP in Osun State and will never admonish his teaming supporters especially people of his home town, Iwo, to vote for any candidate except those fielded by the ADP.
The release called on the people of Osun West Senatorial District to ignore the politicians behind the rumour.
It said those behind the rumour had become jittery “with the failure staring them in the face and go out en masse to cast their votes for the ADP senatorial candidate Omooba Dotun Babayemi and other candidates of the party fielded for various political posts on Saturday.”
