The Oluomo of Igbajoland, Chief Sunday Akere, has congratulated Muslim faithfuls I’m Ila, Ifedayo and Boluwaduro local government areas on the occasion of the successful completion of this year Ramadan.
He said what Osun state and Nigeria as a whole require now is for all Muslim faithfuls to imbibe tolerance and patriotism in our quest to build a united strong nation if the pains and sacrifices endured during the holy month is not going to be in vain.
In his congratulatory message to the Muslim faithfuls, Oluomo Akere called for tolerance, respect and peaceful coexistence in the nation irrespective of tribal, religious and political affiliation, in the quest to build a strong, peaceful, prosperous and united nation
He urged all Nigerians, to use the season to promote national integration, saying “Eid-el-Fitr is a time to love. It gives us a message to love all and hate none.
Speaking further, Oluomo Akere said, despite the numerous challenges facing us in the country, hope is not lost and only tolerance, stronger sense of patriotism and oneness will help the nation surmount her present socio-economic and political challenges.
“I congratulate my Muslim brothers and sisters in Ila, Ifedayo and Boluwaduro local governments, Osun State and Nigeria in general on the successful completion of the holy ramadan fasting, prayers and almsgiving in obedience to the Divine Command of Prophet Mohammed ( SAW ).”
Oluomo Akere admonished all of us to support the government in tackling the present security challenges as the government alone cannot do it all.
He then prayed God to provide, protect and preserve all Muslim faithfuls to see next year Ramadan fasting in good health and safety.
