No fewer than 76 students sponsored by Hon. Lukman Mudashiru (L&K), the lawmaker representing Ayedire/Iwo/Ola-Oluwa Federal Constituency, were on Saturday matriculated alongside several others at the Ahman Pategi University in Kwara State.
This was contained in a statement by the Media Unit of of the lawmaker, a copy made obtained by Osundaily.
The statement quoted the lawmaker as saying the scholarship scheme was a way of empowering and assisting brilliant students from poor background in achieving their dreams through quality education.
“It was a delight and a dream come true for the students as they were attired in their matriculation gowns, marking the beginning of their rigorous academic sojourn.
“Hon. Mudashiru congratulated the students for putting in the necessary effort and patience during the selection process, charging them to make their time in the institution worth the while.
“He reassured them of his relentless support as already outlined and encouraged them operate within the ambit of the institution’s guidelines and regulations.
“Partnering with the university and the Federal College of Education, Iwo, the lawmaker initiated the scholarship programme in 2023.
“The selection process, involving the writing of an aptitude, was highly competitive, enabling 76 students to be selected for various university programmes and 110 students for the Federal College of Education Iwo.” The statement reads.
