The Osun State Command of the Nigeria Forest Security Service has commended the wife of the candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the Osun 2026 governorship poll, Dr. Shekinat Oyebamiji, for showing love towards a family blessed with a triplet in the state.
In a statement signed by the Osun State Commander of the group, Alhaji Hammed Nureni, he said the mother of the triplet, Rashidat Rauf and her husband, Adeboyejo Oriade, are dedicated members of NFSS.
Nureni, who said the arrival of the babies, delivered at a private hospital in Osogbo on Friday, 30th of January 2026 around 12:00pm, immediately put the family in distress due to their financial situation.
He however said about 5 hours after the babies were delivered, Dr. Oyebamiji, went to the hospital where the mother and the children were receiving care and donated substantial amount of money to settle the hospital bills.
The Osogbo-based security expert, while commending the gesture, said Dr Oyebamiji’s intervention, lifted the burden of the couple and challenged other privileged Nigerians to show more interest in the well-being of the less privileged.
He further said, “The father of the triplet and their mother are our members in NFSS, Osun Command. They are less privileged but despite that, they remain committed to serving humanity using their skills in community security services and peace-making.
“When the mother was delivered of the babies, the family immediately went into distress because of their financial situation. They have other children before the arrival of the triplet.
“I can’t tell how Dr. Shekinat Oyebamiji, the wife of the APC governorship candidate heard about it. About 5 hours after the babies arrived, she showed up at the hospital.
“She donated good amount of money and other items for the care of the mother and the babies. That gesture immediately lifted the burden of the family and provided succor at that critical time.
“The mother of the babies, Rashidat, her husband, Adeboyejo Oriade are grateful. Osun NFSS appreciates Dr Oyebamiji. We cant say how she heard about it. But she showed up.
“The mother was delivered at a private hospital in Osogbo on Friday 30th of January, 2026 around 12pm. We were all surprised when Dr Oyebamiji came into the facility at about 5pm same day.

“Initially people around didn’t know who she was. She asked few questions and made the donation quietly and was about to leave when
people around identified her. That intervention really brought the family out of the initial distress.
“May God continue to bless her and her family, amen. That is the way to do philanthropy. Before the arrival of the triplets the family have 5 children. We are still appealing to the government, individuals and groups to come to the aid of the couple. They are still on admission at the hospital but they are doing well,” Nureni said.
