The Chairman, Nigeria Institute of Public Relations, (NIPR) Osun state chapter, Alhaji Adebisi Popoola has commended Governor Rauf Aregbesola for appointing Mrs Adejumoke Akinjiola as acting Director General of Osun State Broadcasting Corporation (OSBC).
The appointment, according to Popoola, was an indication that the state government intends to further improve the quality of the services rendered by the station.
The Institute, in a statement signed by its Public Relations Executive, Miss Kikelomo Owoeye, noted with satisfaction the professional competence of Mrs. Akinjiola, whom the statement described as a round peg in a round hole.
The statement reads: “the appointment of Mrs. Akinjiola is a welcome development at this period in time when competition among media organisations is becoming stiffer in the South West region of the country where OSBC prides itself as the regional voice.
“We are however confident that, with Akinjiola at the helms of affairs and cooperation of staffers, OSBC will not only retain its number one position in the comity of broadcasting outfits in the region, but will surely go several notches up in terms of quality of services rendered.”
