The Federal Government has withdrawn the No-work- pay circular earlier sent to Vice Chancellors and Directors of Inter-varsity centers on the implementation of no-work-no pay on striking lecturers.
A letter signed by Dr Ramon- Yusuf, Director, Research, Innovation and Technology, of the National Universities Commission (NUC), ordered stay of action on the implementation of no-work-no pay rule pending further directives.
Recall that NUC had in a letter dated 29 November directed Vice Chancellors and directors of Inter varsity centers to implement no-work-no-pay rule on striking university lecturers.
