The leadership of the Oyo State chapter of the Federation of Informal Workers Organisation of Nigeria (FIWON) has paid a courtesy visit to the management of the Oyo State Health Insurance Agency (OYSHIA).
Speaking during the visit, the director of marketing, Mr. Dauda Stephen, who represents the Executive Secretary of the agency, said he recognized the importance of an organisation like FIWON in the successful implementation of the agency program.
He speaks extensively on the OYSHIA benefits package and the quality assurance of the program, emphasizing the need for all self-employed residents of the state to embrace and enroll in the program that ensures health insurance for safe lives.
In his remarks, FIWON Coordinator, Comrade Ibrahim Olayinka, stated that the federation understands the importance of the well-being of its members across the state.
He noted that the visit was to seek ways to improve the participation of members in the program.

Comrade Olayinka appealed to the agency to organize regular health outreach program for its members.
He added that the outreach will enable members to know their health status and serve as a stimulus for more enrollment.
He also spoke on the issue of quality assurance.
Replying, Mr Stephen promised that the agency will work closely with FIWON as a partner to continuously improve its services.
Others at the meeting included comrade Yunusa, the state chairman, and other leaders across the state.
