Osun state government has received refund of sums it expended on some federal roads, Osun Daily has exlusively learnt.
At the moment, Osun state government is working on Gbongan/Osogbo road, Osogbo/Ila Odo/Kwara Boundary Road among others.
The government is also working on Ido Osun Airport and many other projects, on which it should get refund from the federal government.
At different times in the past, Minister for Transport, Mr. Rotimi Ameachi and some other officials of federal government had visited the state to inspect federal government projects being executed by the state.
Before the fund could be raised, it was learnt top government officials worked round the clock, as paucity of funds nearly frustrated the efforts.
Reliable sources within government circle confirmed receipt of the money, adding that “this is not being announced so as not to put pressure on government.
“The money was expected earlier but it was delay because of lack of funds but viament has to be made to raise.”
