…..Commandant charges them on responsibilities ahead
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Osun State Command has decorated a total number of 95 newly promoted officers.
This was contained in a statement made available to newsmen on Monday by ASC Adeleke Kehinde, the command Public Relations Officer.
The breakdown of the total number of promoted officers according to the statement are; One Deputy Commandant of Corps, 13 Assistant Commandants of Corps, One Chief Superintendent of Corps and Five Superintendent of Corps.
Others are; 11 Deputy Superintendent of Corps, 27 Assistant Superintendent of Corps one and 37 Assistant Superintendent of corps two.
While decorating the newly promoted officers on Friday 7th July, at the State Command Headquarters, Ayepe, Osogbo, the State Commandant, CC Agboola Sunday charged them to be psychologically and physically prepared for the tasks ahead.
He stressed that promotion comes with responsibilities, adding that the beneficiaries must be dedicated to justifying the promotion given to them by doubling their efforts to serve the nation more.
Agboola also urged them to imbibe selfleness in the discharge of their duties, saying there is a need for them to increase their efforts in order to combat crimes and to make Osun State safer for the general public.
The Osun NSCDC boss, encouraged those who did not benefit in the promotion exercise not to be deterred. He advised them to continue to work hard and be hopeful that there own promotion would arrive in due course.
Speaking on behalf of the newly decorated officers, Deputy Commandant of Corps, Ayinla Saliman, appreciated the Commandant General, Dr Ahmed Abubakar Audi mni OFR, for finding the beneficiaries worthy of the promotion.
He also thanked everyone in attendance and assured the Commandant General of their increased dedication to duty.
DCC Ayinla stated further that, the promotion would spur them to do more for the nation, in order to justify their elevations to the next ranks.
The decoration ceremony was well attended by service commanders across Osun State, families and well wishers of the promoted personnel.
