The State of Osun Ministry of Water Resources and Energy has advised contractors seeking to partner with the State Government and Ministry in the area of provision of water and energy-based services that will positively impact the lives of citizens of the state to properly carry out detailed feasibility studies that will take into account the peculiar nature of the state.
This feasibility study should take care of the area of the target, tariff plan for both the rural and urban settlements, the season of the year and the sustainable value of the project to be executed.
This charge was given by both the Honourable Commissioner, Dr Amidu Tadese Raheem and Special Adviser to the Governor, Engr. Ibitoye Felix Adeniran during a meeting with representatives of Yellowstone Services Limited on Friday, 27th December 2019.
According to them, another reason for the necessity of the feasibility study is that before government consideration, there is a need for proof that the company was ready to do business in the state.
They maintained that the state government in all the projects it has executed always sought the convenience of its citizens before opting for the business side of it.
On his part, the representatives of the company, Mr Beka Phillips promised that his firm was going to carry out a feasibility study and turn in the report before Tuesday, 7th January 2020.
He, however, stressed that his company, Yellowstone Services Limited is a solar energy services company which specialises in the installation, supply and maintenance of solar energy equipment for government agencies, industries and private homes with wide experiences in many African countries.
In another development, representatives of VIVID Consulting were requested to give the State of Osun Ministry of Water Resources and Energy their area of intervention after which additional information will be made available to them.
The consulting company which has been involved in water-related projects in Edo State was asked to replicate the Edo State model with modifications to suit that of Osun and submit a technical and financial proposal to the ministry.
