The lawmaker representing Ayedire/Iwo/Ola-Oluwa Federal Constituency, Hon. Mudashiru Lukman on Wednesday, donated a sum of one million naira to support the construction of the ongoing Oluwo Stadium in Iwo.
The lawmaker noted that the money was in addition to the one million naira he had earlier donated for the construction of the stadium.
The lawmaker made the pledge after watching the final match of the football competition organised to commemorate the eight years anniversary in throne of the Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi.
The lawmaker also made cash donations to the winner and runner-up of the tournament.
He appreciated the monarch for his love for sport, reiterating his support for the youth of his constituency at all times.
He said, “I want to appreciate Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba Abdul-Rasheed Adewale Akanbi, Telu 1 for his love for sports and promotion of talents in Iwoland, Oluwo has proven to be an exceptional king with all his programs.
“In addition to my earlier one million naira donation to the Ongoing Construction of Oluwo Stadium during the last Iwo Day Celebration, I want to add another one million to the project, this is aside from the already fulfilled five million naira donated through me by my counterpart from Oyo State, Engr. Remi Oseni”.
