…Assures Police, others of cooperation
The Osun State Chairman of Nigeria Hunters and Forest Security Service, Mr Ahmed Nureni has charged members of the group to imbibe the best practices in the course of discharging their duties.
This was as he said the group is ready to partner with the state government to keep the state safe from criminal-minded people.
Nureni gave the charge on Tuesday during a one-day sensitization for all local government commanders and administrative officers of the group.
According to him, members of the group must at all times discharge their duties to the best of their abilities without bias.
He warned that he will not condone any act of indiscipline, urging the group members to shun any vices.
Nureni also assured the organisation’s cooperation with the state police force and other security agencies in safeguarding the state.
“I want to charge all of you to be upright and imbibe the best practices in the course of discharging your duties. Once you get back to your local government, you must also pass this message to all the other members.
“I am not going to condone any form of indiscipline and anybody found doing anything against what the group is for will be dealt with.
“We must at all times be ready to protect the citizens and rid the state of criminals. We are always ready to partner with the state government in securing the state.
“Our organisation will always cooperate with the Nigeria Police Force and other security agencies in getting rid of criminals in the state.”
In his lecture, one of the facilitators, Bola Bamigbola, warned the participants against behaviour that can soil the name of the organisation.
Bamigbola also advised the group to concentrate more on areas where the presence of police is not felt.
“You must not engage in anything that can soil the name of your organisation. Always prove to be a good ambassador anywhere you find yourself,” Bamigbola said.
