The Osun State Government has announced the appointment of Alhaji Akeem Muhammed Jamiu as the new Imam of Inisha Central Mosque, in the Odo Otin Local Government Area of the state.
The appointment followed an agreement with the League of Imams and Alfas in Osun State.
This was contained in a press release jointly issued and signed by the Commissioner for Home Affairs, Alhaji Aderibigbe Rasheed and the Chairman, League of Imams and Alfas in Osun State, Sheik Musa Animashahun.
The state government in the release warned against disturbing the peace of the State in the name of religion, adding that whoever is trying to use religion to perpetrate unrest shall be dealt with accordingly.
