The leader of Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Atakumosa West local government area of Osun state, Chief Joshua Ogunleye, has endorsed the candidacy of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) flagbearer for 2019 Osun East Senatorial poll, Prince Adenigba Fadahunsi.
The former lawmaker, who recieved Fadahunshi and his team in his Osu country home, promised to work with the PDP candidate to ensure victory at the poll.
Ogunleye, who explained that the deal SDP in the local government had with Senator Omisore, the party’s governorship flagbearer in the last election, terminated with the gubernatorial election, pledged commitment to Fadahunshi’s ambition to represent Osun East in the Senate.
Chief Ogunleye recalled how he was attacked at the collation centre during 2015 senatorial election and how he had to appear at the tribunal to defend Fadahunsi’s victory.
The SDP leader then solicited for the support of his followers for the PDP candidate, noting he is capable of transforming the zone.
In his response,Prince Fadahunsi recalled past dealings with Ogunleye and commended his host for his commitment to the welfare of his people.
Fadahunshi assured him that his place in PDP is always secured, and that the party would continue to accord him respect.
The former customs boss who also pleaded with SDP leaders to return to PDP, said: “please, let’s return home and together, we shall rescue our land from the invaders.”
The event was witnessed by the local and ward Executive of the SDP in Atakumosa East local government.
