The dust raised by the just concluded controversial State and National Assembly of the All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries is yet to be over in Osun State as the party has not been able to arrive at the candidates of the party.
Investigation revealed that delegates of the All Progressives Congress that refused to sign blank result form at the Osun Government House on Tuesday were forced to sign under gun attack on same Tuesday night at their various houses in Ife East and Ife Central Local Government of Ile Ife.
The attack was said to have been led by a cult leader to attack delegates in Ife Central and Ife East Local Governments.
The attack started with the APC Chairman of Ife Central Local Government, Mr. Goke Aramide who was compelled to take the hoodlums to various houses of the delegates.
“My son and wife were made to see bullet in the AK Rifle with a gun shot before pointing the gun on my head to sign House of Reps Result form, “he lamented.
The delegate who vowed to dump politics, stated that the same thing was done to his ward Chairman on the day of the House of Representatives election of the party by thugs comprising secret cult members and supervised by a senior Police officer who was said to have been sending all incident reports to the state deputy leader of the party.
The delegate who expressed anger stated that another group of thugs was supervised by the Chairman, Ife East Local Government. “All leaders of the party in Ile Ife are now leaving in fear over possible attack.
In a telephone chat with one of the victims, Mr. Goke Aramide, confirmed the attack, saying it is a political matter which has been resolved politically. “No problem, we have resolved it, it is a political issue and let forget it”, he said.
Recalled that some members of the APC in the state who are delegates in each local government have rejected a move by the party leadership to impose House of Assembly and National Assembly candidates on them by signing blank result sheets.
