The leadership and the entire membership of the Osun State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have been commended for the success recorded during Thursday’s Presidential Campaign rally held in Osogbo, the state capital.
The words of commendation were part of a statement issued and personally signed by Prince Felix Adeyemi Awofisayo, a member of the state Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) and member of the Elders’ Caucus of the party in the state.
According to him, the success recorded by the presidential rally was a further indication that the APC is still solidly on ground despite all contrary opinions expressed by critics.
“The mammoth crowd of party faithful and supporters at the rally was an indication that APC as a political party is still very popular among the state electorate,” he stressed.
The state PCC member ascribed the success of the event to the right leadership provided by the likes of the Pioneer National Chairman of the party, Chief Adebisi Akande, members of the Elders’ Caucus, and the entire leadership of the party in the state under His Excellency, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola and the State Chairman, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal.
Prince Awofisayo, therefore, appealed to all party members and supporters not to rest on their oars as the party must further prove its worth during the fast-approaching general elections.
“I want to specially admonish our party members and supporters not to rest on our oars until all our candidates emerge victorious at their respective constituencies in the state and the nation in general,” he stressed.
He also praised the party’s presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the assurance he gave to the people at the event, giving credence to the fact that the party has better plans for the country.
“I also want to appreciate the Presidential Candidate of our great party, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his eloquence while assuring our party members and supporters on the occasion that indeed better days lie ahead for our country,” he emphasized.
Prince Awofisayo also used the occasion to charge all residents of the state and Nigerians of voting age to take advantage of the ongoing collection of the Permanent Voters’ Cards (PVC) as announced by the nation’s electoral umpire, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
