A field officer with the Southwest Security Network codenamed Amotekun, Osun Command, Opeyemi Olawuyi has been honoured with a distinguished merit award in the fight against crime and criminality.
The award was organised by Fresh Fact Magazine.
Speaking after receiving the award, Olawuyi promised to use the award as a motivation to perform better in his line of duty.
He dedicated the award to the leadership of Amotokun in the state and his colleagues.
The field officer who appreciated the organiser of the award said he will not relent in the fight against crime and criminality in the state.
He said, “I want to dedicate this award to the entire Osun Amotekun. Without the support of my bosses and my colleagues, I would not have been here today.
“The award is a motivation to do more and I want to assure you that with the help of our leaders, I will not relent in the fight against crime and criminality in Osun State.
“To the organiser of this award, I want to thank you for seeing me as someone worthy of this award. I will use this as motivation to do more for the society.”
