The Governing Council, Management, Staff and Students of Osun State Polytechnic Iree have commiserated with the family of the immediate past Rector of the Institution, Chief Timothy Ademola Ibitoye who passed away in the early hours of Monday 29th October, 2918.
A release signed by the Registrar and Secretary to the polytechnic Governing Council, Mr Bashiru Salawu described Chief Ibitoye as a responsible, committed and resourceful personality, whose administration as the Chief Executive Officer of the Institution witnessed tremendous development in infrastructure, academics and human resources.
The Registrar added that he was a devout christian with sterling qualities of love, honesty and faithfulness, which served as his guiding principles in his reign as the acting Rector in 2001 and substantive Rector, 2005-2009 in the Institution.
The Registrar prayed for the repose of his departed soul.
Meanwhile, the burial programme of the late Chief Ibitoye will commence tomorrow with a service of song and christian wake keep at his residence, Maboreje area, Station Road, Ikirun by 10:00am, while the funeral service will come up on Friday, 2nd November at the Baptist Church, Oke-Owode area, Ikirun by 10 am.
