The Chairman of Ife Central chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Adeyemi Kehinde Adelowo has on Friday, described the National secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), senator Iyiola Omisore as not relevant in the politics of the town.
Adeyemi made this known in chat with reporter in Ile-Ife.
According to him, “it is true in the past that Ile Ife is solidly behind senator Iyiola Omisore but he has been overstayed, he is no longer relevant in Ife politics. The results of the governorship poll would show if the former deputy governor is still a figure in Ife politics.”
“So, Ile-Ife is not All Progressives Congress (APC). Compare the crowd that greeted the rally of PDP to APC, it showed that APC is not relevant in Ile Ife”.
Adeyemi said PDP is a party to beat in the forthcoming governorship election in the state, saying PDP would win with about 200,000 votes considering the acceptance of the party by the residents of the state, “PDP is loved by all”.
He added, “APC time is over in Osun. They can’t rig this election unlike in the past, electronic transmission of results would expose them”.
“Power of incumbency would not work for them as new technology can’t allow them to rig. They believe in rigging which is their trademark and we are not going to give room for them to rig this election.”
The PDP chairman stressed that APC has failed the people of Ile Ife with a lot of infrastructural decay, “abandoned roads and that was why their members were defecting to PDP.”
He, therefore, urged electorate to vote PDP to end suffering and maladministration in the state, adding that Ile Ife would benefit more in PDP government if voted into office as Ile Ife has the deputy governorship candidate of the party.
