A member of the 9th Assembly of the House of Representatives, Hon. Taiwo Oluga, has extended her heartfelt appreciation to President Bola Tinubu over what she described as massive appointment of members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State and some respected indigenes of the State into Boards of Tertiary Institutions in the country.
Hon Oluga also commended the former Governor of the State and Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Mr Adegboyega Oyetola for providing quality and visionary leadership for the party as again demonstrated by the appointment of more than eighteen members of the APC in the just announced Boards.
In a statement to congratulate the appointees, Hon. Oluga expressed her delight at the recognition and trust placed in them by President Tinubu.
She highlighted the significance of the appointments to Osun APC as a body ,”These appointments are not only a personal achievement for the appointees but also a source of pride for the entire Osun APC family,” she noted.
The politician, who represented Irewole/Isokan/Ayedaade Federal Constituency in the 9th Assembly emphasized the importance of the roles in shaping the future of Nigeria’s educational sector, urging the new appointees to uphold the highest standards of integrity and professionalism in their respective positions. “As you take on these responsibilities, remember that the future of our educational institutions depends on your commitment to excellence and innovative leadership,” she advised.
She, reiterated her confidence in the ability of the appointees to bring about positive changes in their institutions, saying their diverse experiences and proven track records would be invaluable in addressing the challenges faced by tertiary institutions in the country. “Your diverse expertise will undoubtedly contribute to the advancement of our educational system,” she added.
The former lawmaker encouraged the appointees to collaborate closely with all stakeholders, including the government, academic communities, and students, to foster an environment conducive to academic excellence and innovation. “Collaboration is key to achieving the goals of our educational institutions. I urge you to engage with all relevant parties to drive meaningful progress,” she urged.
She reminded them of the need to impact on the people of Osun State, particularly members of the Osun APC whose mandates their appointment represents.
