The National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Senator Ajibola Basiru, has said nothing his wrong if members of the party occupy all the elective positions in Nigeria.
Basiru stated this on Tuesday at the 2025 Lagos APC stakeholders forum meeting.
The APC chieftain noted that insinuation that Nigeria is moving towards a one-party state is wrong, noting that the party will continue to mobilize and win elections.
He said, “Some people are trying to gaslight our party saying that we are moving towards a one-party state in Nigeria
“At the same time, they said they want to chase our leader out of Aso Villa, this is mutually contradictory. We should not allow anyone to gaslight us. Let it be that all the 109 members in the Senate are members of the APC, 360 at the Federal House of Representatives, and all the state House of Assembly members should be APC; it is part of democracy.
