Chairman of the 6th Governing Council of the Federal Polytechnic, Ede, Osun state, Air Commodore Emmanuel Jekada (rtd), has assured members of the academic staff union of the institution that all disagreements between them and the management would be resolved.
Commodore Jekada spoke on the campus of the polytechnic, shortly after the council he headed was inaugurated.
The new Federal poly Ede Council Chairman, who immediately set up committee that would access facilities on ground to ensure they meet requirement for accreditation of courses, advised all stakeholders to embrace peace, saying development can only take place in a peaceful atmosphere.
Jekada said, “we are assuring you that we will run a transparent administration and resolve ranchor and disagreement between the management and the lecturers in the institution.
“The committee we instituted we assess facilities in the institution and ensure that they are good enough, so that we can get prompt accreditation of all unaccredited courses in the polytechnic.”
In his remarks, the Timi of Ede, Oba Munirudeen Lawal, congratulated the new board and offered prayers for a successful tenure.
He appealed to the new Council to lay good foundation for the development of the institution, and lead by example to resolve all the challenges facing the polytechnic.
The royal father, who also reiterated the commitment of the host community to peace on the campus of the polytechnic, then assured of fatherly advice whenever such is requested for by the institution’s management.
