The department of Mass Communication, Westland polytechnic, Ilobu, Osun State on Monday, won the Scholar and Prof award during the opening of the institution’s Final Year Brethren (FYB) week.
The event which kickstarted with the cooperate day was held at the school premises.
The award which was competed for by different departments was won by two mass communication students, Raheem Adeyemi and Omole Boluwatife who won the Prof and Scholar award respectively.
The event was graced with the presence of the school Rector, Mr. Lawal Ganiyu, The dean of student affairs, Mr. Adesina Abiodun, and other staff of the polytechnic.
While delivering his speech, Mr Ganiyu congratulated the finalists, wishing them success in their prospective discipline
However, the Rector enjoined the students to enjoy every moment of the event and desist from any activity that will truncate the peace of the school and the community at large.
