Hearing in the suit over Hijab Crisis rocking the International School University of Ibadan has been fixed for May 14 , 2019.
Justice Oladiran Akintola of an Oyo State High court stated this on Friday as the resumed sitting.
The decision follows failure of the parties to the suit to reach agreeable out-of-court settlement.
Counsel to parents seeking the wearing of Hijab by their female children Dr Wahab Egbewole (SAN) had at the last sitting told Justice Oladiran Akintola that a meeting of counsels and parties was to discuss possible out of court settlement.
The call for truce had been initiated by Justice Oladiran Akintola who admonished parties in the suit not to heat up the polity by exploring informal out-of-court settlement.
However, since parties were unable to reach a truce, parents’ seeking Hijab for their children, secular parents, Traditionalists and their counsels would now have to argue their positions at the next hearing.
