Justice Oladiran Akintola of Oyo State High Court, Ring Road, Ibadan, on Friday asked parties in the International School, University of Ibadan Hijab crisis to embrace peace.
Justice Akintola made the appeal at the resumed sitting on the suit filed some parents seeking the wearing of Hijab for their eleven female children which the school claimed was against the dress code of the school.
The sitting on the Hijab case started last month and was then ad joined for mention today, January 11

According to Justice Akintola all parties to the case must ensure that there is peace among them.

He noted that since all parties were human beings before becoming christians or muslims, it was imperative for them not to heat up the polity with division and inflamatory comments.
Earlier the judge had joined the traditionalists’ parents as interested party to the case.

Counsel to the Plaintiff, Professor Wahab Egbewole (SAN) had called on the judge to appeal to all those interested to be joined to file their applications before the next adjourned date.
Counsel to ISI, Dr Babatunji Ajibade (SAN) appealed to the court to allow all interested parties to be taken on board in the interest of justice.
While adjourning the case to February 20, 2019 Justice Oladiran asked counsels to file their application and urged lawyers to lead the path to peace.
