Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke has blamed recent security breaches in the state on the inter-state raids by criminals and called for stronger collaboration among security agencies for the state to remain peaceful.
Adeleke spoke at a security meeting with the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone XI, Osogbo, Sikiru Akande, and top police officers from Osun and Oyo states.
He further said the recent inter-state raids by armed robbers required a review of strategies.
A statement by the spokesperson to the governor, Olawale Rasheed, in Osogbo, on Friday, quoted the governor as saying, “Recent security breaches are traced to inter-state raids by criminals. So it is productive that we have all the relevant officers here.
“Let us strengthen collaboration and partnership. Osun must remain as peaceful as ever.”
Responding, the AIG said the police would re-strategise to sustain the records of peaceful existence in the state.
