An Ile-Ife, Osun State born actor, Tilewa Ogunsola has announced impending release of his latest movie titled Maku.
Ogunsola, who spoke to journalists during an event held at the Palace of Ooni of Ife, predicted that the movie which had among its cast some A-list thespians would be a huge success due to the quality of the story and the hard work put into the production by the actors.
The actor who rued the havoc that activities of those involved in piracy was doing to intellectual work, especially movies, called on government and practitioners to come up with stringent measures that would end the menace of creative work theft.
Commenting further on Maku, Ogunsola described the movie an educative and interesting piece of work.
“Trust us you won’t be disappointed. Tilewa Ogunsola has been involved in numerous movies such as Omo-oba, Havah-Omoolokun, Moto-Moto, Olowo Igi and many more. But this Maku that I produced is several notches an improvement on my previous work.
“I urge people to accept and watch the movie when released. It has an interesting storyline and the cast has some of the best actors around. The production took us several months.”
Tilewa Adewale Ogunsola, a theatre practitioner,hails from Ile-Ife, Osun State, Nigeria.
His mother is from Ajamopo AGiDi and his father is from Ile Owin Warunla Compound both in Ile-Ife. He started his movie career at the age of 12 years old. In the year 2000 under his boss Olaposi Ogunremi’s theatre group.
In Ile-Ife, the first movie he took part in was Alhaji Yekini Ajileye’s movie called Koto-AYE, ALAGA KANSU, ERAN IYA OSHOGBO, etc. He produced his first movie titled Kabiyesi-Oba Adeyeye in 2015, which he also wrote and directed.
In 2018, he produced Awele, directed by Saidi Balogun and Paul Bogumbe. His upcoming movie, MAKU is being planned for release soon.
