The suspended Senior Special Assistant to Governor Ademola Adeleke on Civil Society Organisation, Comrade Adebisi Emmanuel has denied claim he boasted that he cannot be suspended by anybody.
Adebisi said mischief makers were trying to soil his name, adding that he never made any threat to anyone.
In a statement he signed on Friday, Adebisi said has refrained from making public comments since the announcement of his suspension, calling on the public to disregard the hate campaign against him.
The statement read, “It has become very necessary to categorically deny the claims being made about me in social media posts that I boasted that I cannot be suspended by anybody.
“I have refrained from making public comments since the announcement of my suspension by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor.
“In fact, I have not granted any interview to anybody nor appeared in any news conference. This is to avoid jeopardizing investigations of the authorized panel as is the norm. Any posts made on my social media accounts were to debunk false allegations about me and not in defiance and threat to anybody.
It’s however very absurd and saddening that people in the opposition and haters alike have not relented in their smear campaign against me.
“Our ever graceful governor, Asiwaju (Dr.) Ademola Adeleke has always been my principal in whom I am so much pleased to serve, and will always be.
“I implore the public to disregard the hate campaigners who are working tirelessly in milking this situation to drag my reputation in the mud. Thanks, God bless all.”
