Some hoodlums around Egbatedo area of Osogbo, State of Osun, abducted a housewife over a gift given to her husband by a top Airforce Officer.
OsunDaily gathered that trouble started when the top Airforce officer, who is an indigene of Osogbo came home to inspect some projects with his mother.
The Officer, according to sources during the inspection of the projects saw some long-time area brothers and decided to give them something.
The area brothers who were four in number were given a sum of N200,000 by the Airforce Officer to be shared among them.
The money according to the sources, was handed over to the eldest among the beneficiaries to be shared.
The sources said the beneficiaries appreciated the Officer for his kind gesture and left the place after which the money was shared.
However, later in the day, some hoodlums numbering about seven, kidnapped the wife of the person to who the Airforce Officer handed over the money, asking the husband to bring them the N200,000.
The abducted wife who pleaded anonymity because while narrating her ordeal after she was released having spent seven days at the kidnapper’s den, said the hoodlums were asking for the money, claiming the money was theirs and they should be the ones to share it.
She said efforts to let the hoodlums understand that her husband could not produce the entire money because it has already been shared among the four people proved abortive, as they were hell-bent on collecting the money.
She also claimed the kidnappers told her during her stay with them that they were the ones running the show in the area and nothing, especially money, must pass through them.
She however regain her freedom after the mother of the Airforce Officer who learned about the incident came to Osogbo to plead with the hoodlums.
The housewife, however, said her family was in fear as the hoodlums are still harassing her husband for money anytime they saw him.
