Mariam Temitope Adeshina, an indigenous of Osogbo, Osun State, on Thursday, February 01, 2024, graduated as one of the best students during the convocation ceremony of your Federal University of Technology, Mina.
Adeshina, a graduate of Animal production graduated as a first-class student with a cumulative GPA of 4.55.
She was among the three students who graduated with first class in the Department of Animal Production.
Speaking on how she was able to achieve the feat, the elated Adeshina said the success was through dedication, hard work and prayer.
On how she was able to navigate school with other things, the fresh graduate noted that “Studying amidst other school activities has not been easy because there are a lot of activities one has to participate in and at the same time, that shouldn’t affect the academic process.
“I think with consistency, being focused and being able to balance the two together, I was able to work it out.
“When someone is being focused, no one can stop you, no one can disturb you, once you have your goal you looking forward to achieving.
“Moving with friends of like mind has helped a lot, cause we always help and save each other during reading activities.
“Also self-discovery has helped me a lot, cause am the kind of person who doesn’t read in a noisy environment, although I go to classes with my friends but we don’t usually read together, cause they are not the type of people who read in an isolated places, but we are all of like-mind.
“I have been the best student since my 100 level days, and I kept building up on it and since then I have been always initiating the goal.”
She dedicated her latest success to Almighty God, her parents, lecturers, and friends, saying they “have always been the greatest supporters”.
