The Magistrate court,sitting in osogbo on Monday has sentenced A-27-year-old man,Nurudeen Tijani to 3years imprisonment for stealing and refusal to give an account to electronic materials.
The accused who appeared before magistrate Adijat Oloyede was convicted on four-count bothering on house breaking,stealing and unlawful possession.
The convict was said to have stolen Tiger generator valued N22,000 of Bello Gafar and mechanical tools valued N20,000 of Amusat lukman.
He was also said to have possessed one JVC tape with 3 speakers,one DVD player and one LG player which he cannot give satisfactory account of how he came across them.
According to the details of the charge,the offence was committed on October 20,2019 around obalende area Oshogbo.
The offences which was contrary to and punishable under section 413,390(9),390(9),430(2) of the criminal code cap 34 voll 11 laws of osun state of Nigeria 2002.
Tijani who has no legal representative pleaded guilty for the first to third charge, and pleaded not guilty of the fourth charge.
The police prosecutor,Olayiwola Rasak said the case was transferred from court 2, as the accused was an ex-convict on June 28,2018 in the same court on the similar offence,in which which he called himself Wahab Sabar.
He also said that all the stolen items had recovered from him,and also present the accused statement in station.
Magistrate Oloyede however sentenced the accused to 3 years in imprisonment for the first count,6month each for the tree other counts and to be run consecutively.
