Muslims have been admonished to imbibe the salient lessons of Eid El Kabir and emulate the humility, good neighborliness , understanding and love , exemplified by the life of Prophet Ibrahim.
The Gbongan born philanthropist and politician,Omooba Dotun Babayemi gave this admonition while congratulating muslim faithful in Osun West Senatorial District in particular,Osun state as a whole and Nigeria in general on this year Eid El Kabir celebration .
He called on them to reflect the teachings of Id-el-Adha which center on keeping faith with God and total submission to His will.
According to him, they should remember the words of Allah which remind and harp on piety as neither the meat,nor the blood of the animals that would be slaughtered reach Him.
While calling on muslims to exhibit qualities of commitment, discipline, obedience and love of Allah and apply same to their neighbors, irrespective of social, ethnic, political and religious differences, he also charged adherents of all faiths to be tolerant and live in love and harmony.
He enjoined people of Osun West Senatorial District and Osun State in general to live in peace for the progress and development of the State.
