A bricklayer, Kehinde Muhammed was arraigned before an Osun state magistrate court in Oshogbo for stealing an Automated Teller Manchine card
.
The police prosecutor, Adeoye Kayode said that on the 20th of October, 2019, around 7pm at First bank, Station road Oshogbo, the accused, conspired with others at large to steal the ATM card of one Olaitan Ayomide, valued N1,050, adding that the incident caused breach of peace at the banking premises.
He explained that the offences were contrary to and is punishable under section 516,383,390(9),249(D) of criminal code Cap 34 vol11 laws of Osun state of Nigeria, 2002.
The defence counsel, Okobe Najite pleaded with the court to commit his client to bail with an assurance that he would not jump bail.
The prosecutor however opposed, stating that the accused lives in Oyo and would difficult to trace him if he jumps bail.
While being quizzed the accused told the court that he is a bricklayer and he was invited for a work at Oshogbo on Saturday 19th October, 2019.
In his ruling, Badmus granted the bail application on the terms of N50,000 and 1 surety in like sum.
The case was adjourned to the 8 of November, 2019.
