…..Students insists on writing examination
The Academic Staff Union of Polytechnic, Osun State Polytechnic, Iree chapter has suspended academic activities indefinitely over the suspension of the Institution Rector, Dr. Tajudeen Odetayo.
The union described the suspension as an aberration against the constitution of the institution.
The Chairman of the union, Dr. Fatai Afolabi declared the suspension of the academic activities indefinitely on Tuesday.
In a viral video online, the union members who gathered in front of the echo gate, were seen singing solidarity songs in Yoruba.
“Governor Ti Dawa, Egbe PDP Ti Fowa Je, Awa Union Deyin Leyin Won, Omi Lo Ma Gbe Won Lo” ‘The Governor has betrayed us, PDP has disappointed us, we union members are no more supporting them, water will wash them away’. The union sing.
However, Daily Part-Time students of the institution scheduled to have an examination today insisted on writing their papers.
The students were seen carrying placards insisting on having their examination.
