The All Progressives Congress House of Representatives primary conducted today in Ile-Ife was marred with Irregularities, violence and inducement.
The exercise was not peaceful in all wards visited by our correspondent in Ile-Ife as political thuggs took over all polling units where the exercise took place.
Some APC candidates agents are said to have been abducted and some are not allowed to cast their vote as gunshots rented the air.
According to sources, today’s APC primary is like going to civil war in Ile-Ife. The APC has been turned citadel of thuggery.
“This has not the style of the party in the past but things suddenly changed as politicians started mobilizing touts to take over and decide who win the party’s ticket.
The party results sheet were not made available in some centres where the exercise was held as political thuggs have snatched the results”.
The state chapter of the All Progressives Congress had adopted direct primary mode for its primary elections to select candidates across the state.
