A former lawmaker and senatorial candidate from Osun East Senatorial District, Hon. Engr. Israel Ajibola Famurewa has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Director of Administration of the All Progressives Congress, Dr. Abdulraif Adekunle Adeniji, popularly known as “Natty Kongo”, describing him as a dogged politician and a committed public servant.
In a statement personally signed by him, Famurewa hailed the late Adeniji’s exceptional leadership skills, humility, and dedication to progressive ideals.

He recalled Adeniji’s significant contributions to grassroots politics, noting that he played a pivotal role in the successes of the All Progressives Congress at both state and national levels since 1999, when he was elected Chairman of Ife Central Local Government.
Honourable Famurewa further highlighted Adeniji’s service in various capacities to uplift the party and support government efforts, including his recent role as Osun East Coordinator of the Independent Campaign Council for President Bola Tinubu’s election.
He commended Honourable Adeniji’s unwavering support during his senatorial campaign for Osun East, saying His support for him as the APC’s flag bearer for the Osun East senatorial seat election is still fresh in his memory.
While expressing deep sadness over the demise of All Progressives Congress Director of Administration, Honourable Famurewa condemned the circumstances surrounding his death, calling on divine justice against those responsible for the crime just as he prayed for Almighty Allah to grant Adeniji eternal rest.
