A maxim goes by “Let every one cultivate the habit of giving, even if not more than a penny,then our society will be a better place to live in”perhaps this spurred AnneGift Foundation to set up an automated garri producing machine in Erinmo where proceeds will be used to cater for the welfare of the needy which has been the paramount focus of His Majesty Oba Arowotawaya II, Elerinmo of ErinmoLand.
These automated machines which were all locally fabricated supporting made in Nigeria and Boosting our local economy will produce high quality garri in large quantity for local consumption and export.
This is coming on the heels of the recent launch of Agbeloba Cooperative programme,where over two thousand farmers of Erinmo and neighbouring towns who are going to enjoy interest free soft loan to boost their farm productions have been registered.
According to Kabiyesi Elerinmo “food is essential to human survival,and as a monarch we are committed to feeding our people and as well raise the economy potentials of our community Erinmo Ijesa
The natural ruler who encouraged farming,most especially the plantation of cassava said that the time when their farm products will be wasted as result of lack of patronage has gone in Erinmo as the major raw material for Garri Erinmo is Cassava.
Oba Arowotawaya also explained that apart from creating wealth for farmers,jobs will be created for youths just as the aged and the physically challenged will be fed.
The royal father noted that the automated machine which comprises of presser,grater,siever and fryer can produce one tonne of garri per day.
He emphasised that the vitamin content,and hygiene of Garri Erinmo are not comparable as all nutritional values are considered during production.
Assuring people of the outside world of the best of garri from the ancient town of Erinmo Ijesa,Oba Arowotawaya noted that the demand for Garri Erinmo in countries like, Canada,U.S.A,and Europe is high.
He however assured that the people of Erinmo and the environ as well as the entire South west will be maximally fed with hygienic high quality garri
