The Alare family of Osogbo and Chief Muili Folorunsho have threatened to drag an Osogbo-based radio station,Fresh FM, to both the criminal and civil courts for airing a false narrative about the family and Chief Folorunsho, who is one of the palace chiefs of Ataoja of Osogbo.
The family accused the radio station of airing an advert where it stated that the Alare family and Chief Muili Folorunsho had perfected plans to defraud people using the name of the Ataoja of Osogbo.
The family demanded that the station retracts the advert which was aired on 30th Wednesday, 2025.
The family said the broadcast concluded with a name, Sinatu Adeoye, and a phone number for further inquiries, but this number turned out to belong to one lawyer in Osogbo who was joined in the broadcast
The family further said, “Meanwhile, Chief Muili Folorunsho had earlier organized a Fund Raising Program fixed for 16th May 2025 and booked a venue at the Royal Springs Hotels, Camp Junction Area, Osogbo, and the invitations had gone to millions of people, including distinguished politicians and members of the public.

“His Royal Majesty, Oba Jimoh Oyetunji Abidemi Olanipekun (Larooye II) was expected as the Royal Father of the day.
“Chief Muili Folorunsho has organized the program to raise funds for completion of Alare Hall he started over 5 years ago on a family land situated at Zone 6, Quliyah Area, Atman Junction, Kobongbogboe, Osogbo.
“Alare and Chief Muili Folorunsho have stated in their letter that no lawsuit has ever existed over the land since the inception of Osogbo over which the building is built but were shocked when the Radio Station aired story to the effect that judgments are existing over the land a claim the family states is false, criminal, very blackmailing and cyberstalking.
“The project land is at Zone 6, Alare Family land at Quliyah Area, Kobonhbogboe, Osogbo, and the venue of the program is at Royal Springs Hotels, Iyana Camp, Osogbo.”
