A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, Mr Kayode Ogundele has described the victory of senator Ademola Adeleke in the just concluded Osun Governorship election as the will of God and determination of the electorate to choose who they want to govern them.
He made this known in a chat with our correspondent recently.
According to him, “The electorates are determined and focused to use their votes to choose who to govern in the State for the next four years.
The best for Osun has come. I am very glad because this is the beginning of new dawn in Osun. This election has been described as best, free, fair and credible by international and local observers. Nigeria should improve on this.
“I have long predicted the fall of APC before I defected to the PDP. I am an insider in APC, the party has stopped been a progressive because it is an almagamation of political opportunists and adventurists. I advised the governor on what to do but to no avail.
Sound people are tired of APC and yearning for change and nothing is working. They thought they would buy voters but they failed woefully. Rigging is no longer possible again and Independent National Electoral Commission has done well”.
Ogundele noted that the new government will need more revenue to function because Osun State is currently indebted with low allocation. “He will do things differently through provisions of infrastructural facilities.
He will provide basic human needs and provide conducive environment for economy to strive. Adele is qualified to govern the State because of his business experience”.
He added: “He needs to be more practical in his administration. He should listen to practical advice and run open door policy”.
Ogundele, however, urged the people of the State to support the incoming PDP administration to enjoy dividends of democracy.
