Abiola Kolawole, Ibadan

The People’s Democratic Party’s candidate in the Oyo South Senatorial District Dr Muhammed Kola Balogun has halted Governor Abiola Ajimobi’s bid to represent the senatorial district in the Senate.

Governor Ajimobi was the flagbearer of the APC for Oyo South Senatorial District and he had represented the district from 2003 to 2007.

Ajimobi popularly called Constituted Authority is the only Governor to be re-elected in the state for the second time and thereafter christened himself as “koseleri” meaning it has never happened.

Governor Abiola Ajimobi lost to Dr Balogun, a former Commissioner for Commerce during the administration of Chief Adebayo Alao-Akala.
