Mr TaofeekAjilesoro has won the return ticket of the House of Representatives of the Peoples Democratic Party primary election held on Sunday at the Ife City hall, Enuwa, Ile-Ife.
The Peoples Democratic Party which held its primary election for the House of Representatives and Assembly across the country on Sunday.
Ajilesoro who scored 96 votes to defeat his opponents, Prince Adewopo Ayoade who has 28 votes while Adeboye Wale secured 1 vote and 4 votes voided.
The Ife federal constituency comprises Ife Central, Ife East, Ife South and Ife North delegates.
Also, the House of Assembly results in the Ife-East state constituency showed Mr. Olumide Fatunmise won the ticket with 22 votes while his closest rival, Mr. Idowu Adeyeni, who was the party candidate in the 2019 elections has 10 votes.
Engr. Abiola Adeyeye secured the ticket of the party, Ife Central State constituency with 19 votes while
Mr. Akinola Martins has 15 votes.
The PDP primary election in Ile-Ife was supervised by officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and security agents.
The exercise was hitch- free and transparent as any act of violence was not recorded.
