An Osogbo-based security expert and businessman, Alhaji Ahmed Nureni, has congratulated the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Alhaji Isiaka Adegboyega Oyetola, on the occasion of his 71st birthday celebration.
This was contained in a congratulatory message signed by Nureni, and obtained in Osogbo on Monday.
Nureni, popularly known as AK Leader, who said the people of Osun State remain eternally grateful to Oyetola, who served as the State Governor between 2018 and 2022, for various achievements recorded during the period, maintained that the ex governor has been an exceptional public administrator.
“Today, Alhaji Adegboyega Oyetola, the immediate past Governor of Osun State and current Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, celebrates a major milestone – his 71st birthday. The Osun people, and indeed Nigerians, are joining in to felicitate with a man who has left an indelible mark on the state and the nation through his exemplary leadership.
“Governor Oyetola is noted as a man of vision and has consistently demonstrated a deep understanding of the needs of his people and a commitment to meeting them.
“During his tenure as Governor of Osun State, he implemented numerous initiatives aimed at improving the lives of Osun residents. From infrastructural development to educational and healthcare reforms, Oyetola’s administration was marked by a clear vision for a better future for the state.
“One of Oyetola’s defining qualities is his role as a supporter of sound initiatives. Whether in government or in public life, he has always been at the forefront of promoting policies and programs that are in the best interest of the people.

Nureni said Oyetola has always positioned himself as a protector of his people, adding that he also acted as a steadfast advocate for the welfare and security of Osun residents, working tirelessly to ensure that they were safe and prosperous when he was governor.
In his current capacity as a Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, he said Oyetola has not shirk in his commitment to the well-being of his people as evident in the various social intervention programs he has been organising.
He further said, “These programs provided support to the most vulnerable members of society, including the elderly, the disabled, and the economically disadvantaged.
