A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Osun State, Mr Kunle Adegoke (SAN), has declared his intention to contest the 2026 gubernatorial election under the platform of the All Progressives Congress.
This was as the Osogbo-born lawyer boasted that any aspirant who emerges as the candidate of the party will defeat incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke.
Adegoke, while speaking with journalists shortly after meeting the leadership of the APC to declare his intention, said the Peoples Democratic Party has already crumbled.
He noted that Osun people will vote for the APC candidate, considering the economic re-engineering of President Bola Tinubu and the abundant resources coming to the state from the federal government.
Adegoke said, “APC has already succeeded in beating Governor Adeleke. The pillars holding his party have already crumbled. People have discovered that there is no plan, understanding, or knowledge in that party to bring prosperity to the people of Osun.

“People have seen what President Bola Tinubu is doing at the centre today where there is already financial re-engineering and abundant resources are now coming to the state and the local governments. This shows that it is only the APC that has the power to bring such an abundance.
“That is why we believe that with the array of contestants that we have in the APC, all of us being competent and qualified, any of us who emerges will beat Governor Adeleke flat in the election.”
