Stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Atakunmosa West Local Government Area of Osun State have unequivocally declared their allegiance to the Executive Governor of Osun State, His Excellency, Senator Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke, vowing to follow him to any political party or platform he goes.
This resolution was contained in a communiqué issued at the end of a strategic stakeholders’ meeting held on Friday. The meeting, convened to assess and respond to recent political developments, particularly the widespread speculation surrounding Governor Adeleke’s potential defection from the PDP, brought together key political figures from the local government.
The communiqué was signed by Hon. (Barr.) Dosu Babatunde, Commissioner for Chieftaincy and Local Government Affairs in Osun State, and the political leader of the PDP in Atakunmosa West. According to the document, the stakeholders unanimously passed a vote of confidence and endorsement, reaffirming their absolute commitment to Governor Adeleke’s leadership and political direction.
“We stand firmly with His Excellency, Senator Ademola Adeleke, and we are prepared to follow him wherever he goes, politically,” the communiqué stated. “Our loyalty is not to the party alone, but to the visionary leadership, inclusive governance, and people-oriented policies that Governor Adeleke represents.”
The stakeholders further mandated all party leaders within the local government to convene immediate sensitization meetings with their ward executives to brief them on the unified position of the party on the evolving political landscape.
In the communiqué, the stakeholders praised Governor Adeleke for his exemplary leadership, marked by transparency, accountability, and inclusivity across all levels of governance. They reiterated their total loyalty and unwavering support for his administration and strategic decisions aimed at promoting the welfare of the people of Osun State.

Present at the high-level meeting were a cross-section of public officeholders and party executives, including the Member representing the Atakunmosa East and West State constituency in the Osun State House of Assembly, the PDP Local Government Chairman, the Chairman of Atakunmosa West Local Government, Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants to the Governor, all ward chairmen, elected councillors, and members of the PDP executive at the local level.
The meeting concluded with a renewed call for unity among party faithful and a reaffirmation of the stakeholders’ readiness to support Governor Adeleke in all his political endeavours.
