Chairman of Osun Zenith Labour Party, Comrade Olufemi John Adesuyi, has expressed his disappointment on the way the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) treated his party despite the tremendous support given it in the last gubernatorial election.
In his new year message, Adesuyi declared that Osun state chapter of PDP has failed to reward loyalty, thereby called on Zenith Labour Party’s members to unite and remain focused as they take over Osun in 2026.
His words: “As we step into 2025 with renewed hope and determination, it is important to reflect on the state of our dear Osun and the journey we have undertaken together as a party.
“We extended tremendous support to the PDP-led administration during the 2022 gubernatorial election and the 2023 general elections. This support was grounded in our belief in partnership for a better Osun.
“Regrettably, it is evident today that this administration has failed to honour the trust we placed in them. They have not reciprocated the loyalty, commitment, and sacrifices we made to secure their victory. Their actions prove they do not reward loyalty or value those who contributed to their success.
“Despite these disappointments, I want to assure our members that we must not grow weary or disillusioned. We serve a God of justice, and we are confident that in due time, we will reap our rightful dividends.
“Let us not be distracted by their neglect. Instead, let us strengthen our resolve and remain focused on the bigger picture. As a party, we remain committed to reclaiming Osun State and returning it to the path of inclusive governance and progress for every citizen.
