The State Commandant, Sunday Agboola while addressing officers and men at the state command, said the 1,510 personnel were drawn from Special Female Squad, Swift Action Response, Anti-Vandalism Unit, Armed Squad, Intelligence and Surveillance Unit, for overt and covert operations.
A statement by the command spokesperson, Kehinde Adeleke noted that Agboola charged the deployed personnel to work in synergy with other sister agencies in the state for a hitch-free celebration.
The statement further reads: “He stressed further that patrol teams would cover the state and personnel are going to secure praying grounds, recreation centres, malls, market places, critical and national asset, before during and after the celebrations.
“The Osun NSCDC boss, therefore, called on members of the public to report suspicious movements and persons in their environment to the nearest security agency. He advised that security is everybody’s business.
